The coordinators of the EU Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON) rewarded this by confirming Albuquerque as Commissioner for Financial Markets. Only the left-wing group and the far-right ESN group voted against Albuquerque in the coordinators’ vote, as confirmed by several parliamentary sources.
