In her State of the Union speech, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen set other priorities. Digitalization was barely mentioned. Yet it is becoming increasingly important in all areas of life and is also a fundamental prerequisite for the Green Deal and the future viability of the European economy. The negotiation of the Chips Act is one of the most important projects scheduled for this fall in Europe, but there is more – as you already read in Part 1.
