Industry Commissioner Stéphane Séjourné proposes a new strategy for the Single Market. The biggest barriers are to be tackled with new approaches in six areas. In order to compensate for the loss of a fifth of US exports, for example, it would be sufficient to increase trade in the Single Market by 2.4 percent, according to the draft communication that the College of Commissioners intends to adopt on May 21.
