Foreign ministers from the EU and members of the Council of Europe will announce the birth of the special tribunal in Lviv on Friday, which will hold Vladimir Putin and others responsible for the war of aggression against Ukraine to account. „We will give our final political blessing to the establishment of a special tribunal for the crimes of aggression,“ said EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas at the end of the informal Foreign Affairs Council in Warsaw. The „Putin Tribunal“ should close a gap, as the International Criminal Court (ICC) can currently only prosecute genocide and crimes against humanity.
