But the Democrats have a realistic chance of retaining control of the Senate. For US President Biden, the outcome of the midterm elections is a respectable success – the Democrats did better than under his predecessors, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Many of the candidates supported by former President Donald Trump failed.
