The former Deputy Speaker of the European Parliament, Delphine Colard, has been promoted to spokesperson. The Belgian has worked in the Parliament’s press service since 2010. Previously, she had also worked as a spokesperson in the Belgian Foreign Ministry. With Colard’s appointment, the press offices of all three EU institutions are now headed by female spokespersons.
