Unimaginable a few weeks ago: the far-right polemicist Eric Zemmour, who neither denies nor confirms a candidacy for the French presidential elections in 2022, is currently experiencing a meteoric rise. The favourability of his potential voters catapults him to second place, according to a recently published civic poll. If the first round of the elections were held this Sunday, Zemmour would pass candidates Marine Le Pen (15 percent) and Xavier Bertrand (13 percent) with 17 percent and face Emmanuel Macron, who received the most votes with 24 percent.
