Matthias Buck knows the feeling of running out of time. „I was one of the last to complete two years of community service. So I thought, I’m already that old, and moved up a gear.“ Therefore: law degree and first state examination after eight semesters, alongside a master’s degree in politics in three and a half years, and in 2005 to Brussels as an employee of the European Commission. Today, time is pressing again. Preventing potentially catastrophic climate change is „the question of my generation because the change of course must happen in the next ten years,“ says Buck.
