With circular economy technologies, the steel, cement, and chemical sectors can reduce the cost of decarbonization by 45 percent, decrease their energy dependency by 20 percent and save 25 percent of CO2 emissions. That was the estimate made two years ago by Agora Industrie and the consultancy firm Systemiq. Systemiq has now identified ten technologies for the WWF that industries can use to leverage this potential. The organizations presented a corresponding report on Tuesday.
