The pipeline operator has scored an interim success in the dispute over the Nord Stream 2 Baltic Sea gas pipeline with the EU. An adviser to the European Union’s highest court on Wednesday questioned a ruling by the EU’s second-highest court. The European Union court’s May 2020 ruling against Nord Stream 2 was flawed and should be retried, Advocate General Michal Bobek explained. The European Court of Justice (ECJ) usually follows his suggestions, but it is not bound by his assessment.
