Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen presented the new AI Continent Action Plan on Wednesday (Europe.Table reported on this). With this plan, the Commission wants to position Europe as a leading location for artificial intelligence. The plan bundles five central fields of action: powerful computing infrastructures (including up to five new AI gigafactories), access to high-quality data, the use of AI in strategic sectors, training and recruitment of AI specialists, and the simplification of regulatory requirements.
