Aid dispute over Agri-PV: BMWK demands a • Table.Briefings

The German government’s solar package is intended to make photovoltaic systems on agricultural land eligible for subsidies.

In response to a question from Table.Briefings, the Federal Ministry of Economics rejects the CDU/CSU accusation that it is deliberately preventing the promotion of agri-PV systems. The ministry believes the ball is in Brussels’ court.

In the dispute over the state aid approval for the promotion of photovoltaic systems on agricultural land („Agri-PV“), the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWK) emphasizes that it regrets the delay. A ministry spokesperson told Table.Briefings that the Solar Package 1, which aims to „significantly expand“ Agri-PV systems, is a key legislative project of the BMWK.
