Air pollution in EU states remains high

The brief sigh of relief last year, when air pollution from the Covid pandemic temporarily declined in many places, was short-lived. According to a preliminary report by the European Environment Agency (EEA), almost all EU member states reached the limit values for certain pollutants in 2020.
