China’s regulation of the digital industry is entering a new round: The Chinese Market Supervision Administration (SAMR) has published a draft of a new regulation against unfair competition on the Internet. The aim is to promote a „standardized and healthy development of the digital economy.“ SAMR invites the public and affected industries to comment on the draft. The main aim of the rules package is to ensure better data protection. A consultation period is now running until September 15.
