Competition Council to develop ‘Clean Industry Framework’

In a meeting of the Competitiveness Council on Wednesday the focus was on the compatibility of EU climate protection measures with economic prosperity. The goal is to develop a „Clean Industry Framework,“ said BMWi State Secretary Claudia Dörr-Voß. With the help of the roadmap, lead markets for green industrial goods and end products are to be established and EU state aid law further developed. To maintain the competitiveness of the EU economy, energy-intensive industries must be enabled to develop innovative technologies.
