The German government is taking a closer look at manufacturers of critical components in the German energy infrastructure. According to information obtained by Table.Briefings, the Ministry of Defense has examined whether the installation of Chinese wind turbines and sensors in offshore wind farms in the German Exclusive Economic Zone could pose a threat to national and alliance defense. It is not yet clear what impact the BMVg’s assessment will have on the planned wind farm project.
