CRMA: agreement in record time

They negotiated the CRMA at political level: Spain’s Deputy Permanent Representative Raúl Fuentes Milani, EP rapporteur Nicola Beer, Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton and ITRE Chairman Cristian Bușoi.

In the trilogue negotiations on the Critical Raw Materials Act, the EU regulation for a secure and sustainable supply of raw materials, the Council, Parliament and Commission reached a political agreement yesterday evening. Further details will be negotiated at a technical level by the end of the week.

Yesterday, the EU Parliament, Council and Commission reached a political agreement on the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA). This means that the framework conditions of the legal text have been established. The three parties will negotiate the final details at a technical level by the end of the week.
