The EU Commission has drawn up the classification of producer countries in terms of their risk of deforestation. The member states have already approved the categorization. So far, MEPs have only been allowed to view the benchmarking system on request and without using their cell phones; it is not yet public. Russia, Belarus, Myanmar and North Korea have been classified as high-risk countries. According to information from Table.Briefings, Indonesia, Malaysia, Paraguay and Brazil are in the „standard“ risk category.
