The European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) adopted its initiative report on digital sovereignty on Tuesday with broad support. The report is based on the observation that the EU relies on third countries for more than 80 percent of its digital products, services, infrastructures, and intellectual property rights.
