DMA: Commission sees violations in Google searches.

The EU Commission wants to use the DMA to regulate online giants more strictly.

According to the Commission, Alphabet may be in breach of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) with its Google Search offering. „Certain features and functions of Google Search favor Alphabet’s own services over competing ones,“ the EU Commission stated in an initial assessment on Wednesday. Specifically, this concerns search results for shopping, hotel reservations, transportation and sports. The Brussels authority criticized that Alphabet’s services were displayed at the top or in special areas.
