In the negotiations on the Digital Markets Act, Germany, France and the Netherlands are calling for a stronger role for national antitrust authorities. According to information from Europe.Table, the three governments presented a joint initiative at this week’s meeting of the Council working group on the DMA. In it, they called for authorities such as the German Federal Cartel Office to be able to take action against large platforms under the DMA in addition to the EU Commission.
