Manfred Weber will have no rival candidate in Valencia when he stands again as EPP party leader.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Christian Democratic party family EPP will meet for its congress in Valencia. The party reform will be voted on, and a new party leadership will be elected. EPP leader Manfred Weber does not have to reckon with an opposing candidate.

At the congress of the Christian Democratic party family EPP on Tuesday and Wednesday in Valencia, there will be no opposing candidate for Manfred Weber in the election of the chairman. Party leader Weber, who has also been Group Leader in the European Parliament since 2014, is running for a second three-year term of office. The ballot will take place on Tuesday. There are twelve candidates for the ten deputy seats:
