Ethics authority: Commission starts talks

The EU wants to monitor compliance with its strict transparency and ethics rules more stringently. After the European Parliament had already voted in mid-September for the establishment of an independent ethics authority, the EU Commission now also wants to take up the issue. A first meeting with Justice Commissioner Věra Jourová is planned for this Tuesday, according to the EU Parliament in Brussels.
