EU air traffic to become more efficient

The reform aims to improve the organization of European airspace.

Above the clouds of the EU, many national regulations still apply to air traffic. This „patchwork quilt“ is to become more uniform in future. One of the aims is to reduce CO2 emissions.

Negotiators from the European Parliament and the EU countries agreed on new EU regulations in Brussels early on Wednesday morning to optimize flight routes, reduce flight delays and cut CO2 emissions, both institutions announced.
