EU Parliament adopts Blue Card Directive

Yesterday, MEPs approved the revised Blue Card Directive by a large majority. This would soon make it easier for highly qualified third-country nationals to work in the EU. The original directive from 2009 had not brought about the desired influx of skilled workers because the conditions for issuing them were too unattractive.
