After more than four years, China’s travel restrictions against four sitting members of the EU Parliament and other committee members of the European Parliament are now history. The partial lifting of the Chinese sanctions had been on the cards for some time. However, the official statement by the EU Parliament Presidency on Wednesday left much open. Roberta Metsola merely referred to „the decision of the Chinese authorities to lift the sanctions against all members (and their families) and committees of the European Parliament.“
