EU and UK: Security and defense agreement signals new beginning in relations.

Today’s EU-UK summit – the first since Brexit – is expected to result in the adoption of a security and defense agreement, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on future cooperation, and a joint declaration. These agreements aim to mark a fresh start in relations between the EU and the UK. Yet the difficulty of this rapprochement was underscored by the fact that EU ambassadors were still revising the texts yesterday afternoon and evening.
