The Center for European Policy (CEP) has analyzed the EU Commission’s strategy for more cross-border cooperation between member states on offshore energy development. The think tank insists that EU countries jointly agree on optimal locations for the plants to use the limited marine space efficiently and save costs. In addition, offshore projects connected to multiple countries could increase generation capacity and strengthen EU electricity trade, the CEP authors said.
