The German government has leveled serious accusations against Russia in connection with cyberattacks on members of the Bundestag and state parliaments in the run-up to the federal election. „The German government has reliable intelligence on the basis of which the ghostwriting activities can be attributed to cyber actors of the Russian state and specifically to the Russian military intelligence service GRU,“ a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said in Berlin on Monday. This is completely unacceptable and a danger for Germany, she said – the Russian side has also been informed. Ghostwriter is the name of an attack campaign known since February.
