Alexander Stubb is ahead after the first round of the presidential election in Finland. Stubb was already the country’s Prime Minister and is a member of the Christian Democratic party family. The second round of the election will take place on February 11. According to projections, the 55-year-old was ahead of Pekka Haavisto from the liberal-green party in the first round. In third place was Jussi Halla–aho from the Finns Party. rtr
