Personal data in connection with the Future Conference should remain in the EU.

A Munich resident has filed a lawsuit against the Commission for a breach of the GDPR. Personal data had left the EU, although the Commission had previously ruled this out. It was condemned for this by the General Court of the European Union.

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has ordered the EU Commission to pay €400 in damages to a user for a breach of the GDPR in connection with the Conference on the Future of Europe. The case is entitled T-354/22.
