The British government apparently wants to force the Chinese state-owned company CGN out of the planned construction of a new nuclear power plant in Sizewell in Suffolk, eastern England. The government may announce as early as October that it will participate in the construction of the Sizewell C reactor with the French nuclear group EDF, reports the British newspaper The Guardian. This would force out CGN, which currently holds a 20 percent stake in the project, it said.
