Laschet speaks out in favor of ‘hackbacks’

CDU/CSU chancellor candidate Armin Laschet has spoken out in favor of digital counterattacks, or „hackbacks,“ in the event of serious cyberattacks. „Defense against cyberattacks must be an integral part of our security policy – that includes so-called hackbacks,“ Laschet told the Funke Mediengruppe newspapers. „We must be able to actively act on the cause of serious cyberattacks – to end it.“
