Lithuania closes two border crossing points with Belarus

Lithuania plans to close two of the country’s six border crossing points with Belarus due to „geopolitical circumstances“ after Russian mercenaries from the Wagner Group took refuge in the country. The government in Vilnius made the announcement on Wednesday. The closure of the two rural border crossing points, which are not used for goods traffic, is to apply from Friday.
