On 20 December 2023, Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of promoting our European Way of Life, and acting European Commissioner for International Partnerships, and Ylva Johansson, European Commissioner for Home Affairs, gave a press conference on the political agreement reached on the Pact on Migration and Asylum.
