Barely in office, the new Belgian federal government is already plunged into crisis again. Due to the urgent request from the EU to increase military spending, the so-called „Arizona“ coalition around Prime Minister Bart de Wever has to reorganize the framework budget for the legislature and prepare cuts. This involves €17 billion. Brussels is facing difficult coalition negotiations.
