Anfang Juli schüttelt Ungarns Regierungschef Viktor Orbán die Hand von Präsident Wladimir Putin. Mit seiner Reise nach Moskau stieß Orbán den Rest der EU vor den Kopf.
At the beginning of July, Hungary’s head of government Viktor Orbán shook hands with President Vladimir Putin. Orbán offended the rest of the EU with his trip to Moscow.

At a meeting of EU ambassadors on Thursday, Hungary once again blocked the extension of individual sanctions against Russia. According to diplomats, the government in Budapest wants to remove eight people from the list, which contains a total of 2,400 names. According to Radio Free Europe, the Russian oligarchs in question are Dmitry Masepin, Mikhail Fridman, Alisher Usmanov, his sister Gulbakhor Ismailova, Pyotr Aven, and Vyacheslav Moshe Kantor. In addition, Budapest is said to have demanded the removal of the names of businessman Musa Bazhaev and Russian sports minister Mikhail Degtyaryov.
