EP Plenary session - 20th Anniversary of the 2004 EU Enlargement — The committees and subcommittees in the European Parliament can draw up own-initiative reports.

The parliamentary administration proposes a maximum number of own-initiative reports that a committee and a subcommittee can have in progress at the same time. The proposal still has to be discussed and agreed by the group leaders.

In the first half of the parliamentary term, committees in the European Parliament should be able to work on up to six own-initiative reports at the same time. In the first two and a half years, a subcommittee should also be able to work on three own-initiative reports at the same time. This is the regulation proposed by the parliamentary administration.
