Paris mayor wants to become president

The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, wants to run for the Socialists in next year’s French presidential election. Knowing the seriousness of these times, she has decided to run, the 62-year-old said on Sunday in Rouen, Normandy. Hidalgo has been mayor of the capital since 2014 and is the first woman to hold the post.
