The EU Parliament wants to position itself on the reform of public procurement law by the summer. In the Employment Committee, the struggle for its own position has begun.

The European Parliament’s Employment Committee (EMPL) is struggling to reach an opinion on the reform of public procurement law. Technical negotiations began yesterday on the basis of the amendment proposals received from the political groups. While the Greens, Social Democrats and the Left want to use the legislative reform to strengthen the social dimension of public procurement, the EPP is defensive.
