During the renovation, the Brussels plenary chamber will not be available for use for 18 months.

A video link between two meeting rooms should ensure that the mini-plenary can also take place during the planned renovation work in Brussels. The European Parliament would then not have to move to Strasbourg for the mini-plenary during the renovation work in the Brussels Hemicycle. Normally, the plenary weeks take place once a month in Strasbourg, with the additional two-day mini-plenary sessions taking place in Brussels.
