According to Gas Infrastructure Europe, EU countries are emerging from the winter with unusually full gas storage caverns.

The EU Commission no longer wants saving gas to be compulsory during crises. The peak of the energy crisis has passed, say EU diplomats. The corresponding emergency clause is to be removed.

The European Commission has presented its recommendations on the Emergency Gas Crisis Regulation. Although EU countries are to continue to reduce their gas consumption by 15 percent, a mandatory emergency clause to save gas is to be removed.
