In the latest compromise proposal of the Slovenian Council Presidency on the „Digital Services Act“ (DSA), the member states are taking more decisive action against so-called dark patterns. This was first reported by the expert medium Contexte. The use of dark patterns, which can force users to make unwanted decisions, is to be banned on online marketplaces and for the recommendation systems of very large platforms.
