Söder insists on higher commuter allowance

CSU leader Markus Söder is making an increase in the commuter allowance a condition for his party’s participation in government after the federal elections. „If the price of gasoline increases by ten cents, the commuter allowance must be increased by one cent,“ Söder told the Welt am Sonntag newspaper. He added that this was a coalition demand of the CSU „from which we will not back down.“
