Stability Pact: discussion on ‘golden rule’

Exemptions for climate protection investments are likely to play an important role in the debate on EU deficit rules. The question of such a „golden rule“ will be part of the discussions, European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis said in Brdo on Saturday. At an informal meeting in the Slovenian town, EU finance ministers had spent two days discussing the fiscal policy course from the Covid crisis and a reform of the Stability and Growth Pact.
