Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič welcomes the new Minister for Economic Affairs Katherina Reiche at the Trade Council in Brussels.

At the meeting of trade ministers in Brussels, Trade Commissioner Šefčovič proposed speeding up the EU’s internal processes for signing and ratifying trade agreements. The trade ministers were optimistic about the trade conflict with the USA.

„We are experiencing an absolute paradigm shift in global trade today,“ said Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič on Thursday in Brussels. The times when free trade agreements were negotiated for years and then took years to come into force are over.
