The Russian and Chinese embassies in London have criticized the Strategic Defense Review presented on Monday. The paper deliberately misinterprets Chinese defense policy in order to justify the expansion of the British military, the Chinese embassy said. It is „a new volley of anti-Russian rhetoric“ and the accusations against Russia about daily hybrid attacks are „false and bizarre,“ according to Moscow’s representation in London. In the strategy paper, Russia was described as an „immediate and acute threat“ and China as a „demanding and persistent challenge.“
