CDU/CSU against more leeway in the SGP

The CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag is against more leeway in EU fiscal rules. It is necessary to „slim down the Stability and Growth Pact (SGP) to a few basic rules and to make the procedures for enforcing the rules more effective than before, without watering down the European fiscal rules,“ according to a motion tabled by the CDU/CSU parliamentary group.
