On Thursday, the European Parliament will vote on whether the protection status of the wolf should be lowered from „strictly protected“ to „protected.“

The Commission’s proposals to lower the protection status of the wolf and give car manufacturers more leeway with regard to climate targets will be dealt with in urgent procedures. This was decided by the European Parliament.

The European Parliament has decided on urgent procedures for the Commission’s proposals on the protection status of the wolf and on more flexibility for car manufacturers concerning the 2025 climate targets.
