Vălean promotes combustion engine phase-out

During a debate in the European Parliament’s Transport Committee, Transport Commissioner Adina Vălean defended the Commission’s Fit for 55 plans, including proposals to expand charging infrastructure and promote alternative fuels. Vălean also made a clear case for extending EU emissions trading to maritime and road transport and for phasing out the internal combustion engine.
